He grew up fishing on the east coast and when he moved to San Diego in 1992 his passion never stopped. He learned everything he could about fishing on the West Coast and has owned and operated multiple vessels the past 20 years. Captain Jason has worked closely with other commercial vessels and private boaters and has a wealth of connections and knowledge to help locate the fish.
Many have asked where the business name No Limits Sportfishing and the boat Name Papa “J” come from. My grandfather loved to fish and from stories from my Nana, Mom and Uncle, before my grandfather passed away over 40 years ago, one of his biggest dreams was to someday own a boat. He would go to the boat show at the Jacob Javits center in NYC every year. I would have loved to be able to go fishing with him, so the next best thing I could do was name my boats after him. I used to call him Papa and his name was Julius thus, Papa “J”. Now the name No Limits is not trying to get the Department of Fish and Game angry, contrary to what my friends say. About 18 years my sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Though it was a difficult time for all she proved that no matter what comes up in your life if you put your mind, heart and soul to it there are truly “No Limits” on what you can accomplish. Today Robyn is still cancer free, has a beautiful daughter Isabelle and is one of the most important people in my life. So you see both these names are very near and dear to my heart and I think it’s important that those around you know the history of how thing came to be. |
